Camaraderie in a bottle
Sharing something as sacred as mezcal should be a ritual, never a routine.

The name
Güey ['wej] is how friends call each other in modern Mexican Spanish without using the name. Think of something like Fam, Bro, Homie in English.

Libertad
We’re about living life your way. No boundaries, no constraints but just real, unapologetic authenticity. It’s the freedom to be who you are and forge your own journey.

Amistad
Friendships are at the heart of what we do and how we do it. It’s about the connections that give life meaning, moments shared, stories told, and memories created with the people who matter most.

Y Mezcal
Mezcal is the freedom to enjoy life, embrace authenticity, and connect with others. It’s the drink that brings people together, turning every moment into something real and memorable.

The fábula of güey
In the vibrant heart of Mexico’s agave-rich lands, an unlikely pair of friends thrived: an easygoing dog and a rooster, an aspiring musician. In their village, they shared countless sunrises, laughter, and dreams. However, as life unfolded, their paths diverged. The dog remained to nurture the land of his forefathers, but the rooster’s adventures took him to the stages of many cities around the world. From Mexico City to Paris and New York, the rooster saw it all, while the dog dedicated himself to growing agave and making mezcal. Years passed until one momentous night at the village festival when their paths crossed again. Shocked and delighted, they shouted in unison: "¡Hola Güey!" In their joyful reunion, the dog poured his old friend a glass of his finest mezcal. As they sipped, memories and stories flowed, and with mezcal’s magic an idea was born: they would blend old traditions with new inspirations to craft something special: —Mezcal Güey, —a symbol of their enduring friendship. Now, as you hold this bottle in your hand, you’re not just tasting mezcal. You’re taking part in the legacy of camaraderie and craftsmanship that makes Mezcal Güey what it is. ¡Salud!
