El Solitario
Before he was a maestro, he was a different kind of legend. Eleuterio García Martínez grew up watching his family craft mezcal from the earth, but the road called louder. As a young man he earned a reputation across the region as El Solitario, a bold, restless bull rider who lived fast and fearlessly.

Sueño americano
Like many from Oaxaca, Eleuterio eventually made his way north. He worked hard and built a life. But something kept pulling him back. Not nostalgia, something deeper. The craft. The maguey. Three generations of family legacy. So he came home, and with him came a dream. To one day share that mezcal across the border.

La reunión
It started as a reunion trip. Old friends, some mezcal, no real plan. Then the universe had other plans, and his name was Eleuterio. One conversation turned into a friendship. That friendship turned into a mission to bring his mezcal and his dream across the border.

¡Hola Güey!
When we first sat down together, Eleuterio couldn't keep our names straight, so he didn't bother. He called us güey. Part tease, part term of endearment. Somewhere between "dude" and "brother." The kind of word you use when you feel at home. It stuck.

Tradicional y moderno
Away from the industrial mezcalerías, in a small palenque in San Dionisio Ocotepec, Eleuterio works the way his family always has. Wild local maguey. Traditional methods. No shortcuts. The result is smoky, smooth, and subtly sweet. Old craft. New chapter.

SALUD GÜEY!
Güey isn't just mezcal. It's an invitation to slow down, pour two glasses, and reach out to someone you've been meaning to call. The spirit of friendship is what's in every bottle. ¡Salud!
